Ornate Burmese Silver Repoussé Coffee Pot. Early 20th Century. 9 ¼" high. 2 lbs 13.2 oz. Companion piece to above. Intricately cast, chased and engraved with high-relief figures of an elephant and mahout, farmer driving a oxen-pulled cart, and a man in a small boat, pattern of chinthe around above; sacred duck -- hin-tha (hamsa) spout, figural handle, lid capped by the Chinthe - Burmese lion. Stamped "95/SILVER BURMA" on bottom. Lid has separated, otherwise very fine.
