Large Chinese Silver and Enamel Figure of Lan Caihe, one of the Eight Immortals. 19th-early 20th Century. 17" high (43.18 cm). Lan Caihe, often considered the Patron of Florists, wears a long robe adorned with pink, light green and light blue enameled flowers with green enamel stems and stalks, an enameled badge on his belt, he holds a green-enameled pole supporting a flower, fruit basket. Chinese character mark on the bottom. The delicate wire holding the basket to the pole and the ribbon has separated - but all pieces are there and intact. Fine workmanship.
