Office of the Mayor, Board of Education, partially printed, 8 ½ x 10 1/3", July 1, 1896. Appointment of Mr. Ferdinand Shack of 67 East 78th Street as an Inspector of Common schools for the 22nd School District. Strong signs below, red NY seal at left. Fine; also photo card of Maj. Gen. Wesley A. Merritt, first military governor of the Philippines. Flecking of the B&W surface; and late 18th Century print "ancient Alter-piece, preserved in the Museum of Mr. Greene of Lichfield." [3]
