Great Britain. 1907 Pattern Bayonet. Indian manufacture, Rifle Factory, Ishapore, August 1917. Wooden grip. Maker's mark - RFI, crowned GR, date 1907, 8 17; and other marks at ricasso. With original blade length of 16 ¾" - many were shortened to 12" for service in WWII. Hyderabadi Arabic numerals "06601" on face of pommel. Soft leather scabbard with metal fitting (marked RE) with almond-shaped stud. Very Fine.
