Undated Qajar Lacquer Papier-Mâché Pen Box (qalamdan), late 19th-early 20th Century. 9" length, 1 ½" height. Pleasing Persian pen box, the top depicting a Princess and her child in a garden scene; side scenes of the Princess with her ladies in attendance, and with an angel and a young bearded man; cameos of the Princess and her Prince. Gold leaf on black borders. A few minor scuffs.
