Russia. Imperial. Presentation Portrait Badge of Peter the Great. 18th Century. Enamel portrait of Peter the Great, possibly by Grigori Musikiyskiy, set in a later Gilt Silver frame, openwork around adorned with rubies and diamonds, three garnet pendants below. Suspended from a large Gilt Silver crown adorned with rubies, emeralds and diamonds. Back medallion with Imperial eagle and legend LAVEPJU XpAБpOCTЬ added later, 19th-early 20th Century. Moderate wear, small chip and minor crack in portrait, the crown restored and soldered in two spots, small diamond missing at left. Very Fine. An impressive badge.
