The "Manassa Mauler", world heavyweight boxing champion from 1919-1926, after retiring from boxing, Dempsey became a philanthropist, then in 1935 opened Jack Dempsey's Restaurant on Eighth Avenue and 50th Street in New York City. B&W Photo Signed "Jack Dempsey". 8x10" publicity photo of Dempsey facing in a suit, ca. late 1930's-1940's, signed in black ink "To my good friend Nat Lewis With every good wish Always Jack Dempsey". Light diagonal crease upper left, light glue stain in margin and a few tiny edge nicks, Very Fine; accompanied by signed 8x10" B&W photo of "The Golden Greek" Jim Londos (Christos Theofilou, 1897-1975), Greek-American pro wrestler and one of the most popular stars on the wrestling circuit of the 1930s and 1940s.
