CSA, T-48, $10, September 2, 1862, XX-3. No. 6660. N. Seated maiden, center. R. M. T. Hunter, right. Printed by "Keatings(SIC) & Ball." PMG 55 About Uncirculated. Annotation. "346" is written in light pencil on the back, not at all distracting.

Recognized for decades as part of the 72-piece type set of Confederate paper money, these enigmatic notes have been the subject of controversy for as long as we can remember. One thing is very clear - they are rarely encountered, and always in demand. This $10 example, the scarcer of the two recognized issues, is one of the finest we have ever seen. The paper quality is excellent for this issue, and its eye appeal is greatly enhanced by the four generous margins. Certainly the finest piece this cataloger has encountered, and it would greatly enhance the value of any traditional registry set of Confederate paper money.
