CSA, T-47, $20, September 2, 1862, XX-2. No. 3296. N. Seated women, center. R. M. T. Hunter, right. Printed by "Keatings(sic) & Ball." PMG 50 About Uncirculated. Pinholes. Pinholes through Hunter's portrait, and hint of age toning on the back. The borders are complete, though close at the top.

While somewhat controversial, over the years this issue has been included in almost every major collection of Confederate type notes (including Pierre Fricke's personal type set.) We know of numerous realizations in private sales and at public auctions in the four to five figure range. One thing is very clear - they are rarely encountered, and always in demand. Certainly one of the nicest example we have offered in years.
