The school originated as Folsom's Mercantile College, founded in 1848; it was the first college in Cleveland. The school became a branch of the Bryant & Stratton business colleges, and changed its name to the Spencerian Business College. It later merged with Dyke College. The only other note we are aware of was a low-grade $50 example sold by Heritage in September of 2003 for $517.
