Germany. Imperial German Prussian Officer's 1889 Model Sword. By Carl Eickhorn, Solingen. Brass hilt and guard with Prussian eagle, composition grip wrapped in wire with applied gilt cipher of Kaiser Wilhelm II. Double fullered, 29 ½" single-edged steel blade, maker's mark on ricasso, japanned scabbard with single suspension ring. Normal wear to scabbard, blade slightly loose, otherwise a Very Fine sword.
