Russia; Photography; Militaria -- Lot of Russian Cabinet Cards of Soldiers in uniform and others, ca. 1880's-1917. 1) Uniformed soldier wearing white cross-belt and badge, 2 2/3 x 4 1/3". Inscribed on back "23 Jan. 1905. My dear sister Katyucha, to remember your loving brother" (studio design partially pasted over on back); 2 & 3) Soldier wearing dress dagger, 4 ¼ x 6 1/3. Inscribed on back: "In happy and long loving remembrance of sister Vera from your brother Lyosha. Moscow, 22 Dec. 1916"; the same soldier posed with a young woman, 2 ½ x 4 1/3. Inscribed on back: "In long, loving memory, dear Veronica from brother Lyosha and Natasha, Helsingfors, July 1, 1917. Both by Atelier Wahlström J. Hart, Helsinki; 4) Young soldier wearing epaulettes with the cipher of Alexander III, 2 2/5 x 4 1/3", charcoal, by "Panoni" Charcoff; 5, 6 and 7) 2 ½ x 4, sepia of two young men, one young woman; 8) large charcoal, 4 x 8 1/4" of a young actress or singer, holding a goblet, her hairband and fringed, embroidered garment adorned with grape clusters, E. Breuer, St. Petersburg (pierced at top, some creasing and scuffs lower corners); 9 and 10) B&W photo postcards of writer Aleksandr Herzen; and 11) small card of unknown bearded man, perhaps not Russian, "Tambema"? on back.
