Revolutionary War: The Death of General Montgomery. 75 x 50 cm. Colored line engraving of the attack on Quebec, December, 1775. Montgomery, a brigadier general in America's continental army, was second in command to Schuyler during the successful assault on Montreal, but he was later killed during the charge against Quebec. By Clemens after Trumbull, published February 1798. Purchased from the Parker Gallery in 1996. A very nice example of this historic print.
