Photography, Mostly, and a Group of Documents Relating to John H. Griebel and his Wife Katherine including Military Appointments. A nice assortment of fifty or more mostly late 19th century and early 20th century cabinet prints (about 4" x 6 ½", most with photographers names on the backs). Almost all are portraits. Also included is an album of over 50 cartes de visite, including a Lincoln and a Trinity Church interior. John H. Griebel's appointments as Second Lieutenant (Army) 1926; First Lieutenant (Marines) 1933 , Captain (Marines) 1937, Colonel (Marines) 1949, plus various diplomas and documents, some quite ornate.
