Custer, George Armstrong. Custer Autographed Envelope. About 5" by 3". Postmarked Washington, D. C., with the address written in brown ink by George Armstrong Custer to "Mrs. General Custer / 339 Penn Avenue / Washington, D. C." The right end is missing, but the name and address is complete. Probably written in 1864, at the time Custer was assigned to General Sheridan, encamped near Harper's Ferry.
