Custer, George Armstrong. Civil War Date Custer Autographed Envelope. About 5" by 3". Postmarked Washington, D. C. September 8, 1864, with the address written in brown ink by George Armstrong Custer to "Mrs. General Custer / 339 Penn Avenue / Washington, D. C." The left end is missing, but the name and address are complete. Written at the time Custer was assigned to General Sheridan, encamped near Harper's Ferry.
