April 6, (probably 1864), with the address written in light pencil by George Armstrong Custer to "Mrs. General Custer / 369 Cor of H & 18th St. / Washington, D. C." The writing is somewhat smudged. "Headquarters Third Division, / Cavalry Corps. / OFFICIAL BUSINESS" is printed, upper right.
