Appointed Minister of War, 8 February 1796, dismissed 14 July 1797 by the French Directory of Barras, Reubell and La Révellière-Lépeaux; appointed to the State Council by Napoleon, he served as steward of the army camp at Boulogne in 1805 and as Senator in 1806. Document Signed "Petiet" as Minister of War. Folio. One and a half pages Official Order of Service, 30 Germinal An 4, 19 April 1796, for one Citizen Lambert. Petiet signs on verso. Very Fine.
