Held commands in the Army of the Eastern Pyrenees (1793-1795), succeeded General Dugommier as commander, served on the Council of Five Hundred, and as Ambassador to Spain under the Directory; made senator, Marshal and Count by Napoleon, awarded Legion of Honor in 1805, Governor-General of the Duchy of Parma. Autograph Document Signed "Perignon" as commander of the Army of the Eastern Pyrenees. Folio. One page on Armée des Pyrénées Orientales letterhead, 7th Germinal, An 3. Fasces in wreath, "GUERRE A MORT AUX TYRANS" below. Pérignon writes to a Citizen that he has received his letter regarding a command at Carcassonne. He signs below "Saluts et Fraternité". Accompanied by 19th Century engraving of Pérignon (tapemarks). [2]
