Leather Bound Autograph Collector's Book of 1930's and 1940's Baseball Players and Entertainer's Signatures. This compelling volume includes autographs of the 1937 New York Giants who finished first in the National League, but lost the World Series to the New York Yankees, and the 1940 Cincinnati Reds, who won the World Series that year. Giant players include Fred Fitzsimmons, Carl Hubbell, John McCarthy, Al Smith, Mel Ott, Jo-Jo Moore, Cliff Melton, Harry Gumbert, Dick Coffman, Gus Mancuso, Hank Leiber, Harry Danning and Clyde Castleman. Reds players include Wally Berger, Ernie Lombardi, Jim Turner, Frank McCormick, Bill Meyers, Lee Vander Meer; Eddie Joost, Joe Beggs, plus Gabe Paul and Bill Giles. The following entertainers, sports figures and others are represented: Sonja Henie,Kay Kayser, Tom Mix, Grace Moore, Jimmy Braddock, Brian Aherne and others. A significant collection that should be carefully considered. Though the front and back covers have deteriorated, most of the pages are in good condition, and most signatures are clear and sharp.
