Chile. Collar of the Order of Merit. Silver, Bronze, gilt and enamels. Badge on white enamel star suspended from a golden condor, which is suspended on plaque with supported Chilean Arms, the shield in red, white and blue enamel. The collar links are formed by wreaths. Medals dealer Willy Dufossez believed the Collar to have likely have been awarded to President René of France (1954-1959). Small chip of white enamel on back star tip, otherwise Extremely Fine.
