Cerro-Colorado Mill & Mining Company (Arizona Territory) 1876. Cerro-Colorado Mining District mine location. Issued in San Francisco. 10 shares. No.1116. Mountain and mines. Columbia statue, left. VF+ details. Trimmed a bit into the left border. According to Fred Hollabird, after the Civil War, Mexican miners stole large amounts of bullion from the Cerro-Colorado miners and supposedly hid it in the nearby mountains. To this day, the "lost" bullion has not been found.
