Vitrite & Luminoid Company (New York) 1886. 100 shares. No.18. Large light bulb at the center. Issued to and signed by F. W. Roebling, son of John Roebling, the Brooklyn Bridge builder. Vitrite Luminoid & Company produced sockets and lampholders, and eventually became part of Phillips. Vitrite is a type of glass, used as insulation. According to our consignor, this is the only example known . VF+. Issued, not cancelled.
