Monroe, James. Fifth President of the United States, 1817-1825. Free frank. 5" x 2 ¼." Department of State. No date, but 1814 to 1815. To John Randolph, planter and Congressman from Virginia. For a short period during the War of 1812 Monroe was Secretary of State, and Secretary of War. Some wet paper wrinkles, and a small edge split, otherwise quite nice.
