Nadar. Pseudonym of Gaspard-Félix Tournachon (6 April 1820-23 March 1910). French photographer, caricaturist, journalist, novelist, and proponent of manned flight. ALS. 3p. Paris. Dec. 31, 1881. "Our mutual friend, Mr. Mennique, informs me that it is you who are legally entitled to the copyright of a small brochure which has just been published in a Paris newspaper and which was favorably received..." In the post script, Nadar writes "...Perhaps there may be a possibility of inserting a few simple drawings which I could take care of by resuming my former metier of caricaturist of the "wild and raucous..." Very good overall, with some mounting remnants on the back of one of the quarter panels. From the Collection of John Herzog.
