Moore, Sir Thomas (1779-1852). Irish poet, singer and song writer best remembered for "The Minstrel Boy" and the "Last Rose of Summer". ALS 8vo. 1 page. Aug. 6, 1830. To Owen Rees, Esq. "I have just heard that Murray is in town & am most anxious to see him. You will perhaps give us a day together, though how I am to manage it (with the sort of demands of all kinds I have upon me) I don't know." Signed "T. Moore." Tipped on to another paper along with the envelope it came in, and the red wax seal. From the Collection of John Herzog.
