Massenet, Jules. (1842-1912). Composer. Autograph Letter signed "J. Massenet", 1p, 4¾" x 6½." May 17, 1888. In French, requesting a meeting with his neighbor. Framed with a photograph. Massenet was known for his comic opera Don César de Bazan (1872). His other operas include: The Virgin (1880), Manon (1884, and considered by many to be his masterpiece), Le Cid (1885) and Werther (1892). Overall, fine condition.
