Equestrian statue of Latin America's great liberator, which stands before the southside of New York's Central Park, rev. The Americas holding torch between them stride left, rising sun at left. Created by Sally James Farnham, a relatively unknown sculptor selected by the Venezuelan government from a competition, the statue of Simon Bolivar was dedicated in NY, on April 19, 1921 by President Warren G. Harding. Very scarce. Attractively toned. Extremely Fine.
