Aviation Trio. 1) Aviation Medal. Bronze. 10.2 cm. First Trans-Atlantic Flight. Obverse: Female figure with a two blade propeller held in each hand, Capitol Dome, Statue of Liberty, "FROM GLENN CURTISS COMMEMORATING THE FIRST TRANS-ATLANTIC FLIGHT NAVY NC CURTISS"; Reverse: Curtiss NC Flying Boat over two sailing ships and a globe. The obverse Almost Uncirculated. The reverse appears to have been struck on a defective planchet with many small gouges in the surface. 2) Book. First Across by Richard K.
