Kings of Macedon. Perseus (178-168 BC). AR Tetradrachm. 15.46 gms. Diademed head right with short beard, rev. BAΣI-ΛEΩΣ ПEP-ΣEΩΣ, Eagle, wings open, standing right atop thunderbolt, AY monogram to right, small AV monogram between eagle’s legs, MAP monogram above, all within oak wreath. Mamroth, Die Silbermünzen des Königs Perseus, ZfN 38 (1928), 26; SNG Oxford 3276. Light scrape on obverse cheek. Well-centered. Good Very Fine.
