New York State Realty and Terminal Company (New York) 1904. 10 shares. Issued, cancelled. No.2. Orange borders and underprint. Woman raises victory wreath. Issued to and signed by James Stillman on the verso. VF. There is a small repaired tear at the top, and numerous punch cancels through the signature blocks. These do not affect the James Stillman signature on the verso. James Stillman and his National City Bank may have had as much influence and power as J. P. Morgan. He developed close ties with John D. Rockefeller and his associates, and with E. H. Harriman. Stillman believed in maintaining adequate cash reserves, and this served him well during the panic of 1907. National City Bank is now known as Citibank. The Stillman autograph is rarely seen on stocks and bonds.
