Portrait Miniature of Captain Charles Clark, 1st Bengal European Light Infantry. Mid- to Latter part of the 19th Century. The young captain looks forward with expressive eyes. Clark served in the Sutlej Campaign in the First Anglo-Sikh War. During the Battle of Ferozshah he was seriously wounded, and later died of his wounds on the 13th of October, 1846. Framed with inset gradated borders, 7 ¼ x 7 ½". A handsome miniature. Ex Hammatt Collection.
