Rosenwald, Julius (1862-1932). American businessman and philanthropist best known as the head of Sears, Roebuck and Company. He established the Rosenwald Fund to support the education of African American children in the rural South. Also the principal founder and backer for the Museum of Science and Industry in Chicago.
