Foster, E. M. (1879-1970). French author and Nobel Laureate, ALS, 8vo. King's College, Cambridge. November 1, 1955. Forster is best known best for his novels that examine class differences and hypocrisy in British society. Winner of the Order of Merit and Companions of Honor awards. He wrote "A Room with a View" and "A Passage to India." From King's College, Cambridge, dated November 1, 1955, he writes Miss Wilson about the BBC version of "Passage to India." "I haven't heard yet. Shall do so on Thursday. Most people find it fairly good and rather boring."
The letter is in very fine condition.
