The Rothschild Banks and their New York agent August Belmont: a very nice group of printed bills of exchange (checks) comprising a 2nd of exchange, New York, 185[3], to S.M.de Rothschild in Vienna for a payment to Moritz Wallach, who endorses the bill on the reverse; a 3rd of exchange to de Rothschild Brothers in Paris for payment to F.E.Blatspiel; a third of exchange, also to Paris for payment to Joseph Fassel, with USA adhesive revenue stamp on the reverse, and another to Paris, payable on demand to V. Versepuy, 1881; lastly a small group all to Rothschild in London comprising a 2nd and 3rd of exchange of the same set, 1864, for payment to P.R.Poland & Son, both with USA adhesive revenue stamp on the reverse, and another similar 2nd of exchange dated 1894 for a payment to J.L.Phipps & Co. who also endorses the bill on the reverse, all but the first are printed and supplied by Rothschild, all signed by various members of the August Belmont firm, generally very fine and a scarce group.
