M. Rachmiel Mises: A Bill of Exchange, Lemberg, 18[33], addressed to Simon G. Sina in Vienna, to pay Elias Bardach Junior 1500 gulden, signed by M. Rachmiel Mises, endosed by Bardach on the reverse part printed bill with manuscript insertions, black, very fine and important piece.

M. Rachmiel Mises, 1800-1891, Jewish banker and railway financier, ennobled by Frank Joseph in 1881. Head of many Jewish organisations in Lemberg. The Bardach family were also prominent Jews in Galicia. The von Sina family were also bankers and financiers of Greek origin and were in direct competition with the Rothschilds in Vienna.
