A group of Russian Bills of Exchange all passing through Jewish banking houses, comprising Odessa, 1833 from Bartolomeo Pontio q Nicolo address to Simon G. Sina in Vienna, one of Rothschilds competitors; another from F. Chr. Gasser in St.Petersburg, 1848, addressed to Rothschilds in Paris; A bill drawn by Rigaer Sdadt-Disconto-Bank in 1882, addressed to Rothschilds in Paris making a payment to publishers N. Kymmel, who also signs on the reverse; and two bills drawn by S.H.Hermann & Co of Vilna, both addressed to Rothschilds in Paris, 1868 and 1881, both with adhesive revenue stamps, the 3rd split in half, the last with some ink burning, the rest very fine.
