Flint, Sir William Russell (1880-1969). Scottish artist and illustrator known especially for his watercolor paintings of women. Autograph Letter Signed "W Russell Flint". 1 ½ pages on Flint, R.A., Peel Cottage stationery, 5 1/3 x 8", 8 March 1948. Flint thanks Mr. Gerstley for his "generous appreciative letter", gives his best wishes and encloses an autographed postage stamp. Accompanied by the aforementioned stamp, a 1939 Canada Royal Visit 3 Cent stamp signed across in black ink "W. Russell Flint". Dark toning area on stamp, and old paper backing top of letter, Fine.
