Civil War Trio of war-time newspapers: "The Daily True Delta," New Orleans, April 14, 19 and 25, 1861. The first two 8 page, the latter 6 page folio. On the cover of the first, a headline succinctly states "The Fraternal War Commenced", on page 2, the "Latest From Charleston" reports that the officer's quarters at Sumter are on fire, while "Major Anderson is firing at long intervals…" The bottom half of the front page has been torn off; the second reports on the "Secession of the Old Dominion", and that Tennessee has refused a call by Lincoln for Union soldiers; the latter discusses secession feeling in Tennessee, Missouri, Baltimore and Alexandria. The last has page separation. Some foxing, toning. Good to Very Good. [3]
