"S" punch-cancelled, "Paid" in ink. About VF-About EF; St. Stephen, NB. Receipt for dry goods, 1810. 8 x 8 ¾", laid paper. Billed from Warren Fox to Aaron Wyston (?), various dry goods - "2 yd Lace, 2 hair Combes…1 Straw Bunnet…" During this time, St. Stephen was an important seaport for the export of raw materials from the interior, notably lumber. It lies just across the river from Calais, Maine; also 1843 New Brunswick Halfpenny. F-About VF. [4]
