Quartet of documents: Wilcox Co., 1845 -- Orphan's Court 3 1/2 page list of the personal property of Hardy Hale "lot of ploughs…1 boy horse…1 lot corn…1 Negro Woman named Nancy $200…"; Wilcox Co. 1854 -- Probate court petition, 1 ¼ page, referring to property of Edward Weatherford deceased including the slaves: "Jim, a man about 27, Jack 38, Rhoda & child Charlotte, Margaret and her child Riley, Harriet aged 16 & her child Jefflona and Balaam aged 11…."; Wilcox Co., nd -- court-related letter on one page, blue paper, related to debts and "a levy of Negro property"; Mobile, Feb. 12, 1848 Ledger account, one page on folded blue folio, dealing with drayage, wharfage, various entries including that for "50 pair negro shoes@ $1 [=] $50".
