South Carolina. June 10, 1775. 50 Pounds. Serial number 1590. Ornate indent at left. COMMONS HOUSE OF ASSEMBLY is prominent near the top. The denomination is hand written in three places. The back is the same design used on the 50 Pound denomination of the previous series. Signed by David Deas, Gideon Dupont, Jr., Theodore Gaillard, Jr., Thomas Farr, Jr., William Gibbes, and Thomas Horry. Fine details, but this note was split in half and later joined together with a piece of paper tape. While the vertical central portions appear to have missing pieces, they are mostly just crumpled and can perhaps be restored. 50 Pounds is the only denomination issued under this resolution. Ex.
