†1896 (17 Mar.) envelope addressed to Boston bearing Kewkiang 1894 1/2c. pair (cut from the cover and replaced) tied by "kewkiang/local post" dated oval in purple, with a second strike on the reverse, and used with U.S. 1890-93 5c. yellow-brown tied by type IV Shanghai Agency duplex with a second strike additionally tying the local post stamps; other transit marks on the reverse with Shanghai Local Post, San Francisco transit and arrival c.d.s.
