†1876 (13 Oct.) opened-out (and reinforced) envelope addressed to Ohio bearing 1873 6c. dull pink cancelled by Shanghai cork obliterator and with a good strike of Shanghai type IIb Agency c.d.s. plus San Franciso transit alongside, the reverse with Shanghai Local Post c.d.s. in blue. Ex Edward S. Knapp, November 1941 Estimate £ 300-350 Both covers have overpaid the new U.P.U. 5c. rate which was introduced in November 1875. This is not uncommon at this time
