Lieutenant-General Sir Frederick Wellington FitzWygram Bart., 15th Hussars, formerly 6th (Inniskilling) Dragoons (1823-1904); of Leigh Park, Havant; educated at Eton and Sandhurst; joined the 6th Dragoons 28.7.1843, served in the Crimea and was present at the battle of Tchernaya and fall of Sebastopol; Major 19.2.1858 and Lieutenant Colonel in the same year; transferred to 15th Hussars 18.9.1860; Brevet of Colonel 26..07.1863; Major-General, Commander of the Cavalry Brigade at Aldershot 1869; served as Inspector-General of Cavalry on Headquarters Staff; Lieutenant-General 1883; retired 1889; President of the Royal College of Vetinary Surgeons 1875-77 and M.P. for Fareham Division of Hampshire, 1885-1900.
