India Medal 1895-1902, one clasp, Punjab Frontier 1897-98 (Lieut & Adgt. C.G. Pack Beresford 1st Bn. Ryl. W. Kent Regt.); Queen's South Africa, four clasps, Orange Free State, Transvaal, Cape Colony, South Africa 1901, in this order (Capt); 1914 Star, with bar (Major); British War and Victory Medals, the group extremely fine, laquered for display, together with bronze memorial plaque, in a Hunt and Roskell glazed display frame (5)


Major Charles George Pack-Beresford, Queen's Own Royal West Kent Regiment, born 21.10.1869; served on the North West Frontier 1897-98 at Malakand, including the action at Landakai, operations in Bajaur, and in the Mamund country; was present at Buner during the attack and capture of the Tanga Pass; served in South Africa (M.I.D. London Gazette 10.9.1901); The 1st Batallion, Royal West Kent Regiment disembarked at Havre, 15.8.1914, with 26 officers and 1015 other ranks; Major Pack-Beresford was killed in action at Mons 24.8.1914, and is commemorated on the La Ferte-Sous-Louarre Memorial, France.
