Turkey, The unique pair of identical 'special' Medals of Imtiyaz, in silver and gold, with die-struck naming to King Ferdinand I of Bulgaria, 37.5mm., each with riband bar dated A.H. 1332 (1914-15 A.D.) and crossed scimitars below, each with top riband suspension buckle, the obverse, Ottoman arms, reverse, cartouche bearing the date A.H. 1300 (1883 A.D., the date of foundation of the decoration) and crescent-shaped cartouche above with die-struck Turkish inscription to King Ferdinandextremely fine, in case of issue, the interior with the toughra of Mohammed V, with Al Ghazi (He who Fights Against Infidels) to right
The Imtiaz Medal was founded by Abdul Hamid II in 1882 as an award For Bravery and Distinguished Service.
