Memorabilia of Lord and Lady Mountbatten.
An interesting collection, including two photographs of Lord Mountbatten in the uniform of an Admiral, one signed in manuscript Mountbatten of Burma, the other, also in manuscript, Louis Mountbatten, S.E.A.C. October 1943 - August 1946, A record!; a photograph of Lady Mountbatten, signed Edwina Mountbatten of Burma; sixteen Christmas cards, mainly official, dated between 1946 and 1957, many containing photographs of naval activities, the Viceroy's Residence in New Delhi, Broadlands, Classiebawn Castle, Co Sligo, etc, some signed in manuscript by the Mountbattens, others in facsimile; eight dies for stationery, one being for visiting-cards, the remainder monograms; and two letters to W. Thomas Esq., described as "an old member of my last Allied Staff", the first dated February 1947 and presumably acknowledging congratulations on Mountbatten's appointment as Viceroy of India, the second dated January 1953, both addressed to "My dear Thomas" and signed in manuscript (lot)
