The Recommendation states: 'This N.C.O. has completed 52 operations against the enemy and has attacked many heavily defended targets including Kiel, Duisberg and Berlin.
Throughout he has displayed a high degree of courage, skill and iniative, and his conduct in the face of danger has been exemplary.'
