Brigadier General Arthur Colin Roberts, C.M.G., D.S.O., was employed with the West African Frontier Force from 1902 to May 1904; served with the Expeditionary Force in France and Flanders from August 1914; saw action on the Aisne and led a bayonet attack at Armentieres; six months later was given command of a Battalion, with which he proceeded to Salonika; was invalided to London, and died 17.5.1917.
